Mentoring
Studies show that positive influences in a young person’s life can lead to higher rates of academic, professional, and personal success and productivity. The Seeds Mentoring Program provides opportunities for youth and community members to engage and create meaningful and supportive relationships. Our Mentor Monday Project brings several mentors and several youth together in a central location to spend time and share experiences. All Seeds Mentors undergo a background check to ensure their fitness for the position and the safety of our clients. Through this group mentoring model we create opportunities for organic individual mentor matches. These relationships will allow Seeds Mentors to work together with our staff, the teen’s school, parents, and other community representatives (probation officers, etc.) to ensure that we provide a holistic approach to addressing the teen’s specific needs.
